For most CTs,* the raise will show up in our April 28 checks (for the April 2 – April 15 time period).
This is the third increase under the 2014-17 Health Care Agreement negotiated between the Coalition of Labor Organizations and the administration at MSU. The agreement, which determines our raises based on increases in the cost of health care for the previous year, was ratified by the members of all support staff unions in the summer of 2013. CTs’ first general raise under the contract was 2.5% in 2015. We received 1% in 2016. The final increase under this contract, on April 1, 2018, has not yet been determined.
CTs who have not reached the maximums of their pay grades will continue to receive an additional wage progression of 3% per year under the current CTU contract.
*A few CTs, those who work Saturday, April 1, will receive the raise for hours worked on that date in their April 14 paycheck.
