The university has hired a company, AllClear ID, to provide two years of identification protection and repair for over 400,000 current and former students and employees affected by MSU’s recent data breach. Identity repair will be available as needed. Credit monitoring will be available to affected students and staff who sign up for the service. The services are free to the individual.
The CTU encourages all current and former members who are affected by the breach — those employed between 1970 and November 13, 2016 — to take advantage of these services.
For background and additional information about accessing AllClear ID services, please see the message from MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon.
